How long have you been with Coalition Roleplay?: 2 Hours

How long have you been playing HL2RP?: 4-5 Years

Why do you want to join the CWU?: I feel that I have had the most enjoyment over the years of HL2 when playing as a CWU worker. I feel that it's not necessarily as passive as simply playing as a citizen; that being said, you can't omit passive RP, as it's still very important. I realize that, and that's cool. However, CWU just seems to have more duties and kind of a set roleplay that helps keep me entertained. I really enjoy playing CWU, I'm experienced, and I feel like I'd do well there.

Have you ever been detained before? If so, please explain why:  x1 Audio Violation (speaking foreign language)

Have you roleplayed as a CWU or CMU worker before?: Yes, on and off since like 2013

Please provide a backstory for your character with at least three paragraphs minimum:
Madelaine Belenky was born in Acre, Israel, in 1985, to a devout Jewish family. Her father was nothing short of wealthy as he owned and operated a bank near the centre of the City. Her mother, on the other hand, worked in an educational facility for adult women seeking completion of their schooling. Both occupations were of somewhat noble status. She had one brother, Abraham, who was born four years before. While working through school, Madelaine would volunteer her time in the nursery at the local synagogue near her home during week services, and when she wasn't doing that, she was assisting her father at the bank and making a few extra shekels.
After she passed grade 10, Madelaine and her family decided to enroll her into the foreign exchange program, a program where she travels to America to finish her schooling. The year was 2000. That fall, Madelaine traveled to Brooklyn where she quartered with a family of five, two parents and three daughters. After spending a semester there, she began to fall in love with the hustle of the American cities, and she would continue to finish school there in 2001 with exemplary academic honors. That following summer, she moved permenantly to America and decided to attend college at the New England College of Business and Finance in Boston, majoring in marketing with a minor in accounting. She would not see her diploma, however, as the world suddenly went to shit come 2003.
At first, she didn't believe the rumours of a globalwide invasion. Many thought it was a prank even. However, the truth became real within hours of the news spreading. The rumours of portals, aliens, a hostile force...all of it true. It wasn't even a day before the most powerful nations declared their surrender to this awesome force, whom which they were called the Combine. Several years passed before the Universal Union was established to create a buffer between the human race and that of the Alien. The whole world had become enslaved, and many of those slaves were transformed into policing forces to keep order and fear amongst the population. Countries were no longer, but rather designations as cities.
As for Madelaine Belenky, she was swept up and dropped in the former Russian border in a designation within City 17, home of the impressive Citadel. Several years of living on tasteless, non-nourishing rations and manual mandatory labour passed by, and life wasn't improving by any bit. However, she soon discovered an outlet, one that could utilize her past skills of business. That outlet was none other than the Civil Worker's Union, and they were finally looking for skilled workers to help manage. On the advertisements, the word benefits were tossed about, and to any citizen, that was a welcome sight, whether it meant leniency, better food, whatever. Madelaine could not pass up the opportunity.

Please give a small example of CWU or CMU roleplay in ten lines minimum:
**Jethro walks into the store, quickly perusing stock before approaching the counter manned by a woman.
Jethro says,Good evening. I'm looking for a new fleece? Show me the way?
**The woman points behind the man to a small box in the corner nearby a half empty rack.
Woman says,In that box there. Sizes small through XL. May be limited in number.
**Jethro nods, making his way to the box. He opens it and proceeds to fish through it before pulling out a dark grey fleece, an extra large.
Jethro says,Seems all that's left is a small and extra L's. Beggars can't be choosers, I guess...I'll take one of these
**The woman would remove a small piece of laminated paper from underneath the desk and begin scanning through it, mumbling Fleece...fleece before finally tapping the sheet where the words lie, indicating her success in her endeavor.
Woman says,Right. X-large runs 20 tokens. That'll be all?
**Jethro would remove a small purse of tokens and dump out a small pile, slowly picking away at it and replacing them until 20 tokens remain. No, this will be all. Thank you.
**The woman shoots an unethusiastic smirk to the man trying not to hate herself amidst the obvious boredom. The room seemed humid and stuffy, and it was far from paradise for this woman. No problem. See you around.

Past experience with work and labor:
Pre-UU:
Banking teller, 3 years, part-time, Brooklyn
UU:
Mandatory labour shift - 2003-present

Tell us about what you can do:
I believe that I am excellent with numbers, and this is still true to this day. I also have some experience in marketing and design. I believe I can utilize my creative talents as well as my past education to better the community and do my part to better the lives of the local population.

If a citizen asks for help and is new to the city, what would you do?:
If there is a certain information booth or designation for information available, I would lead the citizen to that position. Otherwise, I would make time to show the citizen the most I can in the least amount of time so that he or she is somewhat oriented and can successfully venture about the city and begin processing for an apartment. I would take a moment to answer whatever questions this citizen may have before sending him/her on their way.

I like it, Accepted
